YMCA Personal Training is a results-based program tailored to your individual needs. Our qualified personal trainers cater for beginners and the ‘not-so-fit’ right through to elite athletes.

With YMCA Personal Training the focus is on you! Whether you’re looking to increase your overall energy, lose weight, sculpt, or gain a physical advantage in sport, our trainers will design a personalised program specific to your health and fitness goals and work with you to achieve them.

Packages

New PT clients receive a complimentary biometric body scan and consultation with a trainer to establish your fitness goals. You can also lower the cost per session by doing PT with a friend with our 1:2 packages. All PT sessions are 30 minutes.

Booking personal training

Book your PT session in Client Portal, on the YMCA SA App, or at customer service.

Booking in Client Portal

  1. Login to Client Portal
  2. Select 'Book' at the top of the portal
  3. Select 'Trainer Appointments'
  4. View the timetable, you can filter by category to choose 'Personal training'
  5. Select the time you want to book and follow the prompts

You will receive an email with your consultation details.

Booking in app
Make sure you have a PT pack allocated on your account before you book a session. If you need to buy one you can do so in the 'shopping' section on the app dashboard.

  1. Select 'trainings' at the bottom of your app screen
  2. Select 'Book personal training' at the bottom of the screen
  3. Select the trainer. We suggest booking in with a trainer you have spoken to on site.
  4. View the trainer's availability and select a time that suits you
  5. Select personal training.

You will receive an email with your session details.

Speak to one of our customer service team at the front counter and they will be able to assist you to book your PT session in.

I can help you reach your goals from the inside out with in depth nutrition coaching. I can offer a range training methods to suit your personal needs but have a particular love for building strength and muscle through resistance training!

Ive been training since I turned 18. I began my training to reduce paon and improve overall mobility. Through my training I fell in love with my strength gains and the pump! I love assisting my clients with all their strength and conditioning goals and strive to help all my clients wherever I can!

Who can sign up for personal training?

Anyone aged 16 and over can purchase personal training sessions. For participants 12-15yrs, specific qualifications and experience is required from your Personal Traininer, and you will need to consult with the Health & Fitness Director to discuss options and suitability prior to purchasing a PT pack.

Do I need to be a gym member to access personal training?

No, personal training is available to both members and non-members. However, membership may offer additional benefits and discounts.

What other entitlements are part of the Personal Training Pack?

No other membership benefits are included as part of the Personal Training package. If you are not a member and would like to use the gym outside of your PT sessions, we recommend purchasing a membership.

What types of personal training sessions are available?

We offer one-on-one or one-on-two sessions. We can provide specialised programs tailored to your goals, for example strength, weight loss or rehabilitation.

Will I need to complete an initial induction?

Yes, you will need to complete an initial Personal Training Induction with your trainer which will incur 1x Personal Training session. This is not required if you’re a member of the facility and have completed an induction prior.

Are personal training sessions refundable or transferable?

No personal training sessions are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another person.

What happens if I miss a session?

Missed sessions may be forfeited unless prior notice is given.

Cancelling or rescheduling a session

12 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session to keep your session credit. Sessions cancelled within 12 hours will be forfeited.

What happens to any unused sessions after the expiry date?

All unused sessions at the expiry date are forfeited.
